  Coast Guard Operation "Trash Compactor" monitors derelict vessels.

"KED" is a coastal oilier, previously in Alaska trade, which is now moored in Port Washington Narrows, Bremerton. The Coast Guard (CG) was sending contractors to pump out sludge from oil and fuel tanks.  Glenn Farley of King5 News Seattle, a videographer and a reporter from Kitsap Sun, were aboard Flotilla-45 Facility/Vessel Lorelei, on orders, to monitor CG-ordered operations 3-14-2006.
